A number of clinics offer services known as Satellite (or 'Transport') IVF. In Satellite IVF the woman begins the superovulatory drugs and is monitored at a clinic or hospital closer to her home than the licensed IVF clinic. Egg collection may happen either at the local clinic or at the licensed IVF clinic. Fertilisation and embryo transfer will take place at the licensed clinic.

This arrangement may be more convenient for many people, although the live birth rate for Satellite IVF is often lower than for conventional IVF. You may wish to ask clinics if they have a satellite arrangement with a hospital which is more local to you.
